Having trouble sleeping? Looking to relax? Calm your mind, settle your body and find a softer focus to your day.

Yoga Nidra - also known as "yogic sleep" - is a meditation and relaxation practice that is intended to induce total physical, mental and emotional relaxation. An hour of yoga nidra is said to be as restorative to the mind and body as four hours of regular sleep!

Practiced while lying down in savasana rather than seated, studies have shown that yoga nidra can also ease insomnia, decrease anxiety and stress, heighten awareness and foster feelings of peace and clarity. Corene will guide you through a short restorative yoga practice, connecting movement to the breath, then progressing into guided meditation and yoga nidra. Beginners to practicing meditators will benefit from this class.

Please bring along a mat (I'll have a few extra, please let us know if you need one) and/or a small blanket for this class. And anything else that will help you feel relaxed - it's AOK to get cozy!
