Event description
Celebrate Cascadia Day with a hike and yoga in Leslie Gulch

About this event

In collaboration with CascadiaNow!, Friends of the Owyhee is excited to offer this next installment of the Yoga in the Wild Owyhee series. This is perfect for friends that love to hike and want to get a good stretch in with an incredible view. We welcome everyone ages 12 and up. While no yoga experience is needed, some hiking experience is recommended.

Join us for a hike and yoga session in a place of beauty and power—Leslie Gulch—to celebrate Cascadia Day in honor of the 1980 eruption of Mt. St. Helens. Detailed instruction and modifications will be provided, so don't worry if you haven't done yoga before or are very new to it. We've listed what you need to bring down below.

Class will be led by our Programs Director, Sammy, who is currently finishing up his yoga teacher training. We'll be distancing our mats, so you can drop your mask while on your mat.

Meeting point: Succor Creek Road with Leslie Gulch Road

Meeting time: 9AM MDT

Ending time: 5PM MDT

What to bring:

  • Yoga mat (email sammyc@owyheefriends.org if you need to borrow one)
  • Plenty of water, lunch, and snacks
  • Personal protective gear (mask, face shield, hand sanitizer)
