Energize and relax with early afternoon yoga

About this event

Has working from home got you sitting all day? Does your body feel stiff? Join James Harper from Now Yoga for a yoga session surrounded by the natural beauty of Stuyvesant Park. The class is free and open to all. Please note, we will be adhering to COVID safety protocol by spacing mats 6 feet apart and encouraging anyone not yet fully vaccinated to wear a mask.

Expect an open-level vinyasa practice suitable for all that links breath and movement through a series of postures with attention to alignment. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your own mat.

Now Yoga is a community for mindful movement and mediation located at Astor Place, offering both in-person classes from the studio and online via Zoom.

James Harper is a Now Yoga staff teacher whose own practice began over a decade ago. He has been deeply dedicated to his yoga community, to his practice, and to teaching ever since he completed his certification in 2013. James’s warmth, sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and curiosity make his yoga classes fun, approachable, and educational.

All of our summer events in Stuyvesant Square Park are free and cannot happen without your generous support. Donate to our summer events campaign here: Your donation will be doubled thanks to our Community Match. The more donations SPNA is able to raise the more events we can plan for all to enjoy.
