Join us in Part One of our four-part, year long series: Yoga for the Seasons. In this installment, we will discuss our region’s longest (and to some, most daunting) season: Winter.

Whether you are the type to bundle under a warm blanket with hot cocoa for five months OR outside ripping and roaring through the snowy trails; winter has a huge affect on us all. Ayurvedically speaking, this is the season in which the earth’s energy turns inward. This shift gives great opportunity for self-examination and restoration. This is also the season of colds, flus, and achy joints. Finding a balance between hibernation, and keeping the lymphatic system (our bodies’ in house janitorial service) moving/flowing can be tricky.

In this workshop we will explore finding balance, as we will learn Ayurvedic practices, Asana, Pranayama, and much more to guide us through the snow melt.

We have many tools to take us through this life, let us utilize them!

Emily studied and received her 200 hour Hatha Yoga certification at the Sivananda Ashram of Netala, India. She teaches a slower, thoughtful style of vinyasa, that focuses on organic alignment and breath, along with SUP Yoga in summer months. Her love and passion for holistic healing through movement and intention are apparent on both the mat and massage table.
