Yoga for Stress Relief

**This class requires the following materials: 2 tennis balls and a tube sock, or a Yoga Tune Up Therapy Ball Pair in Tote (this item can be found online)

For the first half of the class we will do Myofascial Release in which you will explore new ways to relieve tension in parts of the body that are used a lot or in fixed positions for a long time through this pain management technique that is really good for the neck, shoulders, arms, head, jaw, lower back, hips, quads, calves, and feet.

The second half of the practice, we offer a Yoga Nidra meditation where you are lying down the entire time and the goal is to move into a deeper state of relaxation with awareness. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation, a method of withdrawal of senses that allows you to scan the body and tap into a state of relaxed consciousness as the mind settles in a place between wakefulness and sleep. It helps manage immune function, blood pressure, cortisol levels and induce restful sleep. It's widely touted that 45 minutes of yogic sleep feels like 3 hours of regular sleep for your nervous system.

All programming will be provided via WebEx or Zoom platforms. Registration is required prior to being provided the log in information.
