Event description

Description

These donation based Yoga Workshops are perfect for yoga newbies - if you've heard all about the benefits of yoga, and you're curious to try it out I invite you to join us and learn the basics of this ancient practice in a safe, non-judgmental space. We'll cover the basic fundamentals of a yoga practice and safe alignment before exploring some physical postures, designed to enhance your flexibility, strength, balance and sense of calm...I created this series of workshops because I've experienced the benefits of yoga in my own life and with my clients and it is my mission to make yoga as easy and enjoyable as possible for you, so that you too can experience the benefits of this safe and simple practice. Please note: 10% of Donations will be donated to The Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initituive. http://legacytrees.org/ Soon we will have enough to buy a tree, and hopefully by the end of the year - many trees!

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

No age requirements. I've taught pre-K yoga + yoga to seniors (over 80). All good.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is plenty of customer parking at MOA Wellness Center. Parking Entry on South Street. If the parking is full for any reason, there is metered street parking.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Come dressed in comfy clothes. No need for workout shoes. If you have your own exercise mat please bring it along. If not, let me know. I have a few extra.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

E-mail me : kamalawellnessco@gmail.com or call : 808-492-2266

How much does each workshop cost?

This is a donation based yoga workshop; so it's really up to you! Most donation-based yoga classes suggest a contribution of $10-20 per class.

Do I need to come to all the workshops?

No, not at all! However, the workshops will naturally build on each other, so you will experience more benefits if you're able to make more classes. The benefits of yoga are mamiximized when we practice regularly, which is why I also offer guidance for a home practice, during the workshops.
