Yoga Child Teacher Training, Level I, On-Line: Teaching Yoga and Mindfulness to Children, Pre-K Through Grade 5 (50 hrs: 30hrs live + 20hrs supplemental reading and practice)
OVERVIEW
Join our Registered Children's Yoga School for this YA APPROVED on-line training as we come together from around the world for this special opportunity. This training will be lead by Yoga Child Founder and author, Gail Silver, JD, E-RYT, RCYT, YACEP and lead Yoga Child trainer, Maureen Heil, E-RYT, RCYT and author of Yoga and Mindfulness For Young Children, Poses for Learning, Play and Peace.
Embark on a joyful journey and acquire an in depth understanding of yoga and mindfulness as related to children as well as an appreciation of the developmental and behavioral needs of preschool and elementary children so that you are perfectly positioned to engage and educate your yoga students. No prior yoga or mindfulness experience is necessary to enroll, though it is welcome.

Sundays and Wednesdays 7/26-9/13/20
- Sundays: 10am-12pm: 7/26 8/2, 8/9, 8/16, 8/23, 8/30, 9/13
- Wednesdays: 7-9pm: 7/29,8/5, 8/12, 8/19, 8/26, 9/2, 9/9
*FIRST AND LAST CLASSES ON 7/26 AND 9/13 WILL RUN FROM 10AM-1PM. All other sessions are two hours.*
How To Attend The Training: A Zoom Link will be shared with all registrants one week prior to training. If you do not have Zoom you will need to download the app for which there is no cost.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Participants will have an opportunity to experience and/or deepen their own mindfulness practice, before learning how to teach a thirty six-week yoga and mindfulness curriculum utilizing Yoga Child lesson plans and methods. At the conclusion of training, you will walk away with the ability to teach:
- Inspirational Yoga Themes
- Magical meditations
- Yoga Games
- Original Yoga Child music and songs
- Asana Stories
- Yoga Journaling and thematically significant crafts
- Off the mat lessons in mindfulness
The Yoga Child training curriculum was developed by Gail Silver, the award winning author of the Anh’s Anger Children books and Mindful Bea and The Worry Tree . A special bonus of the Yoga Child curriculum includes lessons and tips for integrating the teachings of these books into your yoga and mindfulness classes .

Yoga Child is a registered Yoga School (RCYS) and our level I training is approved by The Yoga Alliance. All hours in this training can be applied toward receiveing your RCYT or for CEU hours.

Scholarship Opportunities: Due to the reduced rate of this training and the nature of the registration platform, Yoga Child is not offering traditional scholarship opportunites for this on-line training.
