Your Yoga by the Douro experience starts at Sao Joao National Theater. We will walk to the ruins by the Douro river. During the walk I will get to know you and your needs.

We will climb some stairs that will lead to some breathtaking views of the Douro and its 4 iconic Porto bridges (D. Luis I, Maria Pia, D. Henrique Infante and Sao Joao Bridges). After taking in the stunning natural beauty, you will enjoy 75 min of Yoga. I will do my best to adapt the lesson to meet the needs of all participants (5 max).

I will serve a vegatarian meal with the local organic foods that tourists do not usually get to eat such as baby kiwi and tremoço or lupin beans. You can choose your meal choice when you book. My cooking is simple yet delicious. I cook everything from scratch without opening cans and packages, just as I would cook for myself at home.

After eating, we can walk around the ruins, simply soak in the astonishing beauty of our surroundings or meditate. How does that sound to you? I hope we get to meet...

Things to Keep in MInd

The ground can be slightly uneven

There are flights of stairs to climb

The event will be cancelled or rescheduled with rain

There can be an adjustment of time depending on the weather and the sunlight

Where will we be?

We will be in the ruins that used to house the railway workers in the 17th century. What is left now is a nice patch of green where we will practice yoga. The ruins overlook the 3 iconic bridges crossing the Douro.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

10 years is the minimum age

Do I need previous experience to join? Do I need to be flexible?

No. You needn't have any experience whatsoever. If you have a body and a mind you can join. : ) You needn't be flexible either. Yoga is more more than flexibility...You will love and embrace your body the way it is!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

You can take the train to the main station São Bento then walk for about 7 min to the theater. I suggest you walk because of the traffic and the low frequency of buses, especially on the weekends. Believe me, the vista makes walking worthwhile. Street parking can be difficult unless you arrive early in the morning. Paid parking is available in the area. Again, my suggestion is walking.

What can I bring into the event?

Remember to bring plenty of water, sun, protection such as a hat and suncream. If you prefer to cover the mat, bring a towel or a sarong.

Tea will be served but feel free to bring other beverages if you would like. No alcohol please.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Call me at 351 914 659 774 or email me via www.trashstress.com

What's the refund policy?

Up to 24 hours prior to the beginning of the event. It the cancellation is weather-related, we can try to reschedule it.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Is my ticket transferrable?

Yes. Do please let me know in advance. Thanks.
