Green means GO. Red means STOP.  But what does yellow really mean?

Voices of the South proudly presents the regional premiere of Yellow Light, a new play by Chicago playwright Andy Pederson. This romantic comedy, directed by Brian Fruits, brings new faces to the TheatreSouth stage and features some of Memphis’s top actors. Yellow Light is a great date-night comedy about love, hesitation, and the desire to close one’s eyes while speeding through intersections.

Playwright Andy Pederson's plays have been produced in Chicago, Atlanta, Memphis, Vermont and The Mid-American Theatre Conference. Mr. Pederson is a member of the Dramatists’ Guild and an alumnus of the Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive and Goddard College’s MFA program.  His most recent play (written with Jayme McGhan) In the Soundless Awe, was nominated for the David Mark Cohen National Playwriting Award.  Currently, Mr. Pederson serves as associate professor in the English and Creative Writing Program at Concordia University Chicago.

Cast: Alexis Grace, Stephen Garrett, Claire Hayner, Wesley Barnes, Greg Szatkowski, Jaclyn Suffel, Jeramie Simmons and Lauren Demerath.

Voices of the South and TheatreSouth are generously funded by: ArtsMemphis, Tennessee Arts Commission, Dorothy O. Kirsch, The Jeniam Foundation…and other members of the community.
