Event description

Description

Waste Wise Schools recently produced a curriculum document to help you teach the Year 12 Geography unit Planning Sustainable Places, Depth Study One. The document provides 10 hours of classroom activities that investigate the nature, scope and causes of the waste management challenges facing Perth and their implications.

The workshop will include:

  • A look at the Year 12 curriculum document (draft)

  • A tour of Tamala Park and Neerabup Resource Recovery Facility and how this can be used as a field trip for your class

  • An opportunity to network with other Year 12 Geography Teachers.

Full day relief payments are offered to up to two staff per school to attend the workshop and tour.

The field trip will be kindly run by Peg Davies from Mindarie Regional Council.

Please meet at Tamala Park (parking is available on site). A bus will be provided to transport participants to and from the Neerabup site.
