Description

As Yasemen's pop-up guest, expect to learn about the country in question from someone in the know, with a guest speaker and/or demonstration, indulge in an exquisite indigenous banquet, take away a copy of the menu and an exclusive recipe, just for you.

Focussing on a different country each month, Yasemen will showcase a selection of recipes from her soon-to-be-published book, Lemon Compendium: A comprehensive and gorgeous guide on everything there is to know about lemons, including an array of global ‘lemonlicious’ recipes.

North Cyprus and its unique cuisine

Welcome drink: non alcoholic; limonata (homemade lemonade) alcoholic; limonata spiked with Raki

Wine: Half a bottle of house red or white

Canapés: helimli and zeytini (olive and halloumi cheese breads)

Main: molehiya (traditional chicken and leaves, vegetarian option available) Çoban Salatası (shepherd salad) pilav (rice Cypriot style)

Pudding: aşure (traditional Turkish pudding)

Tea & Coffee: demli çay (tea) Türk kahvesi (Turkish coffee)

Other: every table will have bowls of sumac & pul biber (spices) gabbar (pickled caper leaves) Cypriot olives and çörek (Cypriot bread)
