Friday, November 8, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (EST)
New York, NY
Please join us at the exclusive NYIT screening of a captivating documentary film 'HOME' by Yann Arthus-Bertrand. HOME is a beautifully shot panorama of the Earth and the damage done to it by modern humanity. It includes a moving narration about the evolution of the Earth, nature, agriculture, humans, and the crises of habitat destruction, energy depletion and climate disruption. It was released simultaneously on June 5, 2009 in 181 countries.
This occasion is a no fee event that aims to promote the importance of environmental preservation as well as the general concept of volunteering. It is a great opportunity to network with recognized NYIT professors as well as some of New York City’s biggest nonprofit organizations.
Opening reception ceremony is proudly brought to you by New York Institute of Technology’s Community Service Center & PRClub with the support of Good Planet Foundation.
All donations received on behalf of the event will go to the New York Restoration Project (NYRP.org). This organization is an innovative, public-private initiative dedicated to transforming open space in underserved communities to create a greener, more sustainable New York City.
