Darin Latimore, MD, has been the Deputy Dean for Diversity and Inclusion at the Yale School of Medicine since January 2017 and serves as the YSM inaugural Chief Diversity Officer. Alongside YSM senior leadership, Dr. Latimore is responsible for developing a comprehensive plan for furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion at the school, including a robust recruitment and retention for faculty and students from historically underrepresented in medical communities. Professor Claire Bowern's area of research is change over time in language and culture. She is the current Chair of Yale's Women Faculty Forum, a group that undertakes research, organizes mentoring and lecture events, and advocates on issues related to gender and equity within the university.
