Xtreme Reading is appropriate for middle school or high school students who are at a 4th grade reading level but still fall at least 2 years behind grade level in their reading performance and exhibit:

•       Poor reading fluency

•       Small sight vocabularies

•       Limited understanding of words and multiple word meanings

•       Limited background and conceptual knowledge

•       Demonstrate few skills in using strategies that enhance understanding and remembering of oral and written language

Days 1-3 will present effective ways to set up your class and launch the course. It also includes instruction in word level strategies for your students.
