FAQs
I'd like to see the full programme before I book but that doesn't appear to be completed yet?
This is a common problem in that we want to be reponsive to community requirements and not pre-judge what you would most like to see covered at the event but at the same time needed to make the booking system available to allow time for booking processes etc including early bird tickets. We will update the linked programme as plans proceed and you can be assured that there will be sessions and strands for those new to Xerte as well as for experienced users and topics will include Accessibility, Learning Design, Workflows including Collaboration, Student generated content, Digital Storytelling, Complementary tools & techniques, Templates and Customisation and of course news of all the latest features and developments!
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
By far the best option will be to use public transport to get to Nottingham, and use the tram to get to the University from the railway station: take a tram heading to ‘Toton Lane’ and get off at the University of Nottingham. It’s a five minute walk from the tram stop to the venue, please allow 20 minutes to get to the University from the railway station. If you are driving, you should note that parking at the University is limited, and a pay-and-display charge of £9 per day will apply.
Further information for getting to University Park on all modes of transport can be found here >>.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
You might want to bring along any portable devices you have as we will be demonstrating the software in use on a range of phones, tablets, laptops and desktops.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Use the contact the organiser button and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, if you can no longer attend the event you can pass your ticket on to someone else. However if possible please update your booking and/or use the contact the organiser button to let us know about your replacement.
Can I update my registration information?
You can update the information on your order by clicking your order on the ‘tickets’ page.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You need to bring a ticket with you, but it doesn’t need to be printed on paper: we can scan tickets held on a phone or tablet.
What is the refund policy?
Tickets are transferable but not refundable. If you can no longer attend the event you can pass your ticket on to someone else. (See is my registration/ticket transferrable)
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Yes, that’s fine. Tickets are transferable, but, obviously, may only be used once. If possible please update your booking and/or use the contact the organiser button to let us know about your replacement.
