Event description

Description

Nathaniel Stern kicks off the new Stopover Residency program for Xenoform Labs. Visiting from Milwaukee, he is an an artist and writer, interventionist and public citizen.

This evening will summarize his concentrated 3 day residency at Xenoform Labs, where Nathaniel and Scott Kildall creatively inquire around nature/human relations in the realm of commerce and technology. Our goals are dialog, influence, and potential collaboration across our two practices. We will play with the tools available at Xenoform, including a newly-donated X-Y plotter, while exploring what our devices and the life around us might “want.”

The evening will see a 1-hour of meet n' greet, followed by a 20 minute presentation and then conversation around collaboration and creative inquiry (45-60 minutes). Finally, we will end with a wind-down of socializing for another hour. Maximum guests will be 20, so reserve your spot now!

The idea with the Stopover Residency is to generate cross-discipline conversations without requiring outcomes, in a relaxed setting. We will open-source the ideas for others.

Refreshments will be provided.
