Event Details

Can entrepreneurship be taught?

Bill Aulet is the Managing Director of the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship as well as a senior lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Prior to joining MIT, he had a 25-year track record of success in business, from his start at IBM to his experience as a serial entrepreneur. He started and ran Cambridge Decision Dynamics and SensAble Technologies. He works around the world with entrepreneurs, small companies, large companies, and governments to promote innovation-driven entrepreneurship. Bill was recently awarded the Monosson Prize for Entrepreneurship Mentoring and was selected as one of BostInno’s 50 on Fire.

He will be speaking about his newly released book, Disciplined Entrepreneurship, for the local innovation community in Milwaukee. This book is designed as an integrated toolbox for first-time and repeat entrepreneurs so that they can build great enterprises based on new innovative products. Serial entrepreneurs with deep experience in a particular field or industry will also find this 24-step guide useful for bringing products to market more efficiently.
Participate in an engaging discussion about the impending crisis of entrepreneurship education:
  • Can entrepreneurship really be taught?
  • What teaching methodologies work and which don't?
  • If you have a business, how can you make it more profitable?
Bill will be signing copies of Disciplined Entrepreneurship.
