Description

Wiregrass Living History and the 63rd Signal Battalion, U.S. Reenactors present the second annual WW II Weekend in Lakeland, GA. The event has been moved one mile to Camp Patten, BSA and will feature a two day tactical revolving around the advance of Kampfgruppe Peiper during the Ardennes Campaign of December 1944. This is a hybrid event with spectators on Saturday and Living History displays for their enjoyment while the tactical engagement is happening. Reenactor Registration begins Thursday afternoon at 4:00 pm and the tactical engagement begins Friday at 11:00 am. Reenactor registration for the tactical ends 8:00 am Saturday and the Living History for spectators opens at 9:30 am. The Lanier County Jazz Band will again be providing a USO show at the Threatte Center Saturday Night with the doors opening at 6:00 pm. Breakfast will be provided Saturday and Sunday as well as Supper Saturday night. A registration fee of $20 will be required of all pre-registered reenactors to cover the costs of the tactical. The fee will be paid upon arrival at the event. Walk-on registration will be $25 so PLEASE pre-register. Pre-registration ends Wednesday 1/15.
