About this event

Mark Saturday, December 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on your calendar for a day that has something for everyone. Parking will be available a short walk away at The Grocery Outlet located at: 2077 Ridge Avenue.
A live cooking demonstration with chef Chris Scott and Savory and Sweet's Tonya Hopkins

He will be joined in conversation with Tonya Hopkins, a.k.a. The Food Griot, who is the host of Food Network's first-ever Kwanzaa cooking series premiering Dec. 26.

Reflecting on giving traditions and practices in our communities
Keith Leaphart, founder of Philanthropi, will join WURD President and CEO Sara M. Lomax for a conversation about the spirit of giving that permeates Black culture. Leaphart's careers in medicine, business, and philanthropy center on one single mission: help as many people as possible, as often as possible.
