Without Their Permission is a book for aspiring entrepreneurs eager to embrace the future of the internet for fun, profit, and the good of humankind. The world isn't flat, but the world wide web is. May this be your blueprint. Buy your book online or in-person. Here's more about the book: http://withouttheirpermission.com.
Waffle House: Where it all began
As a student at University of Virginia, Alexis majored in business and history with a minor in German. Though he had originally planned to become an immigration lawyer, he experienced an epiphany in his junior year (while sitting in a Waffle House - a proud Atlanta-based company) that led him to the realization that he didn’t want to practice law. Instead he convinced his best friend Steve to start a company with him.
The Growing Ohanian Empire
After graduating from UVA in 2005, Alexis and his co-founder Steve Huffman started reddit, now a top 100 website. Now a reddit board member, Alexis focuses on social enterprise Breadpig, publishing authors like xkcd and SMBC — profits donated to worthy causes.
Alexis invests and advises over sixty tech startups. He’s Y Combinator’s Ambassador to the East, co-founder of the non-profit IHAS, and is writing a book, Without Their Permission (pre-order now! Drops Oct. 1, 2013).
He proudly doodled the logos for all three of his startups and loves his cat, Karma.
