Join us for a weekend riding the steep fire roads and bumpy single track that traverse the territory of the Yokut and Ohlone people within the current boundary of Henry W. Coe State Park. This ride is for womxn, trans, femme, & non-binary folks only and due to park policy, the group is limited to 8 people.

Weather permitting, we will explore some of the more remote sections of the park in this two-day, one-night bikepacking trip. Highlights will include early spring wildflowers, waterfalls, creek crossings, epic vistas, and camping by an isolated pond. A mountain bike is recommended (or at least 2” knobby tires) and there will be several loose and rocky hike-a-bike sections. The route is a total of 50 miles and 8,600 feet of elevation gain. The riding is split evenly between the two days.

Prepare for early March weather including cool temps and unexpected rain showers. The average high is 58°F and the average low is 41°F but the temperature can vary drastically between low canyons and high ridges. A low of 35°F would not be out of the ordinary, so please be prepared. In addition, you should expect poison oak, hungry ticks, and water that requires filtration.

This is an intermediate level bikepacking trip. It is unlikely that you will have cell reception in the park or in the last 3-4 miles of the drive to the parking lot. You will need to be self-supported throughout the ride. Each person is responsible for paying thier own park fees at the iron ranger before we roll out. Please bring exact change in cash or a personal check. Fee details can be viewed on the park website; it should be $5 per person for camping and $6 per vehicle for parking overnight.

Please be aware that this ride is *SUBJECT TO WEATHER* as singletrack within the park is closed to cyclists within 48 hours of 1/2" or more of rain.
