Course Overview (Recommended Emergency Response Course by SCDF for Tier 1 Premises with P&FM storage licence 5MT)

Fires often cause explosions in vessels, particularly those containing liquids common in Process plants. Fire fighting in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and chemical process industries may be particularly complex, where, potentially every fire is a Hazmat incident. Large quantities of toxic fumes are frequently involved and may lead Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) members to undertake rash actions which constitute hazards to personnel.

On completion of this unit, the learner will have the knowledge and be equipped with the application skills to function as a member of an emergency response team in order to implement the emergency response skills during an emergency incident. This includes:

  • To prepare for fire and Hazmat emergencies
  • To participate to contain fire and hazmat emergencies
  • To assist in search and rescue operations.

Target Audience

CERT Team from Premises:

  • Public & Industrial Building (High Risk Installations Buildings)
  • Petroleum & flammable material (> 5 matrix tonnes)

It is targeted at individuals with operational responsibilities from all sectors such as:

• Chemical Production • Plant Construction

• Plant Equipment Maintenance • Water Management

• Waste Management • Building Management

• Energy Management

Course Duration: 3 Days (24 hours)

Course Assessment: Practical Performance and Written Test

Certification:

- WSQ Statement of Attainment from SSG (formely known as WDA) upon completion course completion and assessment (e-certs)

- 30 CPD points awarded by SCDF

How much is the training fees?

S$1230 per pax (all inclusive of training materials, assessment fees and refreshments). Eligible participants only need to pay for Nett fees. Please refer to the funding table above.

Is this course subsidized?

Company sponsored participants (Singaporeans & PRs) can apply for subsidies under the WSQ funding scheme. For more details of the subsidies, please refer to www.skillsconnect.gov.sg. Eligible pax only need to pay for the nett fees based on the funding table above.

Do I need medical check up for this course?

As this course needs the participants to use Breathing Apparatus, participants must be medically fit to attend this course.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

The directional details will be sent to participants upon registration of this training.

Is my registration transferrable?

Your registration can be transferred but you will have to inform the Administrator at admin@certcg.com at least 7 working days in advance.

How do I pay for the training?

Upon registration, an invoice will be sent to your registrated address. Payment can be done by cheque. If credit card payment is preferred, do inform the Administrator at admin@certcg.com. a payment link will be sent to you.

Please note that training is only confirmed with full payment.

What is the refund policy?

The Company does not refund but you are allowed to transfer your seats. Please give notice of at least 07 working days.
