Please join us for a happy hour of small bites and wine at one of our favorite restaurants as we introduce you to the WSA/NASA Silver Pin Certified Sommelier accreditation.
NASA instructors and recent graduates will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to talk about their experiences with this course.
This sommelier course curriculum, developed by the Worldwide Sommelier Association (WSA) and taught around the world for over 70 years, awards the Silver Pin Certified Sommelier certificate recognized globally. This 8-month comprehensive course covers viticulture, winemaking, global wine regions, and the WSA food and wine pairing technique. We learn to taste over 100 wines and spirits from all over the world during the course. The course includes practical, hands-on experience in the technical tasting of wine, pairing wine with food, and wine service.
This course, regularly available in the United States since 2012, is ideal for wine enthusiasts, current and aspiring wine service professionals, chefs, and others in the wine and food industries. Classes are scheduled for working professionals, and are taught by teachers in a classroom setting.
Materials include textbooks, professional sommelier tasting kit with glasses, tasting books and recorded classes for study.
