Event Description

Cokie Roberts on the November 2016 U.S. election

NPR political commentator Cokie Roberts will comment on the upcoming U.S. election. Cokie served as NPR’s congressional correspondent for more than 10 years and is currently a political commentator for ABC News. With her roots in Louisiana and extensive experience observing politics, she is sure to share a particularly interesting viewpoint.

In her more than forty years in broadcasting, Cokie has won countless awards, including three Emmys. She has been inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame and was cited by the American Women in Radio and Television as one of the fifty greatest women in the history of broadcasting. Along with her husband, Steven, Cokie writes a weekly column syndicated in newspapers around the country by United Media.

WRKF's board of directors will present its Founders Award to The Richard Kilbourne family, donor of the land for WRKF's first site and whose initials form the station's call letters.

So many WRKF supporters want to see Cokie, the number of attendees has reached the room's capacity. To register for our waiting list, contact Barbara Clark
