In this tender and motivating 90-minute workshop, authors and mentors Julie Bonn Blank (JulieBonnBlank.com) and Jesse Rivas (AbovetheSun.org) will walk you through the first steps of writing down the moments that shaped your life—and the people you love. Whether you want to share your faith story with your children, preserve a memory that still matters, or begin a simple book of reflections, this experience is a beautiful place to begin.

You'll hear encouraging stories of legacy, receive practical tips for writing memories, and be gently guided through a short writing activity to help you capture one sacred moment in your own words.

This workshop is open to anyone with a heart to pass something meaningful on—no writing experience required.

Julie Bonn Blank is an award-winning author, speaker, and certified domestic violence victim advocate. She currently serves as the President of Cascade Christian Writers (formerly Oregon Christian Writers), leading over 330 members in their journey to write well, publish with excellence, and follow God’s unique call for their lives. Julie brings both deep compassion and radiant strength to her ministry, shaped by decades of real-life hardship, healing, and hope. Jesse Rivas is the founder of Above the Sun, a Christian organization that mentors authors from inspiration to publication. He’s helped dozens of authors finish and publish their books, drawing from both industry experience and the belief that words have eternal value.
