About this Event

Please join us for a grant writing workshop “Writing Your Grant Application for the National Institutes of Health" on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 8 am – 5 pm in the Goldman International Conference Center at 350 Community Drive, Manhasset, NY.

The workshop will be led by Jared Jobe, PhD, consultant on clinical trials and research funding for biomedical sciences. Dr. Jobe spent more than 18 years at the NIH in various centers and roles, including as a branch chief, program director, and research scientist. Dr. Jobe has more than 36 years of federal service experience and was a peer reviewer for 30 scientific/medical journals, and for 12 government and private funding agencies. Dr. Jobe will draw upon his myriad of experiences in this grant writing workshop.

The workshop consists of the following five parts:

1. NIH and NIH Grant Policies

2. Grant and Contract Mechanisms at the NIH

3. Submitting Your Grant and the NIH Two-Level Review System

4. Writing Your NIH Grant Application

5. Q & A

Registration is required. This is a great learning opportunity for the entire research community.
