Higher education is an exercise in project management planning.

Every year spent has an associated cost and an associated critical path towards graduation. While everyone's collegiate path is different the techniques for analyzing that path to make the most of your time, they are the same.

Ultimately, the fastest way to gain understanding is by engaging the topic in a way encourages you to build skills. Utilizing this concept of deep work, a mixture of techniques that help with staying on task, you can build skills towards our career goals.

In this workshop, we will explore the multiple intelligences, how they are best deployed as a fast track to developing a powerful, informed, professional writing voice, and developing a collegic track that best serves your career goals.

Come learn techniques for:

  • Deep Work Techniques
  • Discovering and utilizing your strengths
  • Developing an Exploration plan

Walk-In session hours available for writing assistance following the workshop.

About the Presenter

rahni sumler professional development writing counselor

Rahni Sumler is one of the Professional Development counselors serving in the Office of Student Development. Contributing to scientific publications for the University of Minnesota's Climate Expedition 2011-2012 and editing for the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2015, she has had extensive experience in technical writing. With a passion for empowering her students, she gives them the tools to cultivate their craft in Public Health and develop their professional voice.
