Hello, Toronto! We've missed you. Come fall back into writing ;) It's time for pen to meet paper.

This month's session will be led by Writing While Black Collective Member, Fatuma Adar. She's got a background in publishing, is fresh out of the Public Theatre's #BARS Workshop NYC, and is in the midst of writing a Somali-Canadian musical, but you'll have to get the deets in-person!

About WWB: Writing While Black is a community dialogue series centered around the voices of writers from the African Diaspora. This workshop is tailored to Black writers at all stages of their writing journey (beginner, emerging, mid-career, established) writing in any genre or discipline (fiction, non-fiction, poetry, journalism, dramatic writing, spoken word etc.) The main goal of the workshops is to create a safe space and develop a community of Black writers who can provide support to one another's artistic projects.

Writing While Black is people-powered, recently government funded but could still use the love. If you are interested in donating money, time and energy, message Whitney French to support.
