Writing the Resistance: Feminist Readings on Activism
Date and time
Description
Women of all backgrounds have been at the forefront of the resistance after the presidential election in 2016. This past year has brought a surge of feminist activism, whether protest, increased involvement with electoral politics, or protecting communities negatively impacted by the current administration.
This evening of readings invites feminist writers to share recent work they have created that is inspired by, critical of, or reflecting upon their wide-ranging activism.
By coming together and sharing as writers and activists, we will strengthen the notion that creativity and activism strengthen each other and deepen our understanding of the shapes our resistance can take.
