About This Workshop
Who's it for?
If you have any questions about whether this class is a good fit, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’d be happy to talk with you!
What you'll learn:
In this two-day course, we’ll:
- look at patterns and practices that result in testable code
- refactor common but untestable code patterns
- explore how to write quality tests in both the BDD and assertion style
- discover how to test code that depends on interaction with the server
- use grunt to automate our testing and incorporate it into our development workflow
Attendees should bring a laptop with WiFi and a power cord, ready with a code editor and and browser. We strongly recommend the Google Chrome browser.
We also recommend one of the following text editors for Mac: Sublime Text 2, TextMate, MacVim, Coda or Windows: E TextEditor, Notepad++, UltraEdit, but the most important thing is that attendees use a text editor they're comfortable with.
About the Instructor
Hotel and Parking Information
A corporate rate has been established at the nearby Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel for Bocoup guests. You can secure the discounted nightly rate through this link, or by calling 1-800-MARRIOTT and asking for the Bocoup rate.
For our local guests who will be commuting in, The Bocoup Loft is a short walk from Red and Silver line access at South Station. There are also a number of paid parking lots and garages located along Congress St. and A St. which range in price from $11 to $15 per day. We recommend getting an early start in order to secure a parking space and arrive at the loft on time.
