At Point Reyes, the damp soils of winter and spring give rise to many forms of life—and so does a writer’s imagination. Come write amid meadows and forests, where mushrooms pop up after the rain and iris bulbs push green and purple declarations into the light. This weekend retreat is for new and experienced writers working in all forms. Whether you write primarily for growth and discovery or with an emphasis on profession and craft, prompts and exercises will nudge you into productive territory. The two days will include discussion, in-class and solo writing time, optional sharing of drafts, and optional instructor conferences. You will have plenty of time for individual exploring on the page and/or in the field. Bring a notebook waiting to be filled, a project in progress, or both. We’ll work, sleep and eat at the Clem Miller Environmental Education Center, surrounded by unfurling life. Accommodations included at the Clem Miller Environmental Education Center

Point Reyes National Seashore Association (PRNSA) is a cooperating association of the National Park Service. We work in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore and the public to preserve, restore and maintain wildlife habitat, trails, and historic sites in our beautiful coastal park. Our year-round environmental education programs help children and adults deepen their understanding of nature and inspire the next generation of park stewards.
