Description

The Writing Intensive Curriculum (WIC) Program will host a two-day intensive workshop Wednesday, December 13 (reading day)-Thursday, December 14 from 9am-3pm. Ten faculty will receive a $360 stipend for participation.

The workshop is open to all faculty who want to learn about best practices in the teaching of writing across the curriculum. Preference will be given to those who teach W-II and W-III courses. This workshop will cover a variety of topics related to writing instruction including: teaching writing conventions; teaching students how to write for different purposes and audiences; providing productive feedback on student writing; facilitating peer review; composing effective writing assignments; and using writing to support learning.
