Neverending summers, tyrannical teachers, schoolyard hierarchies: our childhood experiences help shape who we become as adults. And as adults, memories of our childhood can be fertile ground for creativity and self-expression.

Through generative list-making, we’ll delve into childhood, upbringing, homes, attachment styles, and the other factors that have shaped our adulthood. We’ll then use these lists to write poetry exploring our memories and experiences. Finally, there will be a welcoming open mic at the very end of the session during which you can share your work with a supportive audience!

Anyone interested in exploring their childhood is encouraged to participate, regardless of writing background.
