Event description

Description

Join us, at Camp Washington, for a Writing Workshop led by Davyne Verstandig, a lecturer in English and Creative Writing at the University of Connecticut.

"My writing mantra is "My mind is in the ink." By joining me in this approach you will follow your mind, writing with prompts that will help you discover the best way to tell your story in memoir, fiction, poetry, or experimental writing. Some of you may be beginning a piece; some brushing up one or revising work, and all will have work to develop when you return home."

Revisit, revision, and repair yourself through writing. Jeanette Winterson, novelist and memoirist, wrote: "Writing is an instrument of transformation." Keep this notion close throughout this exploratory writing workshop and you will certainly leave both inspired and replenished!
