Writers' Chat: The Craft and Business of Writing
Event Information
About this event
Welcome to my monthly chat with writers, where we choose a topic to talk about, and I take your questions! This group is open to writers of all experience levels and backgrounds. Sometimes we talk about the creative process, sometimes it's research, and sometimes it's the publishing side of the business.
We are not a critique group, which is to say that we don't share and read each other's writing. It's more of a friendly chat among colleagues.
Every month, the group decides what we're going to talk about next month. In June our topic will be the public aspects of being a writer--websites, outreach, communication with readers, etc. etc.
I'm also happy to take your questions about anything and everything writing and book-related.
Please feel free to subscribe to my newsletter to get advance invitations to these events and much more.
Also, I teach a lot of writing and art classes online, and you can see those here.
MORE ABOUT ME
I'm the author of over a dozen books, including the New York Times bestsellers The Drunken Botanist, Wicked Plants, and Flower Confidential. I've also written seven novels in the Kopp Sisters series, a historical fiction series based on the true story of one of America's first female deputy sheriffs. If you'd like the longer version, go here.
