What is Writeathon?

Writeathon aims to help students practice the art of writing to aid them in their personal and professional growth. The ability to write well is a great asset in any career and in life. It is important to learn how to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively. WishWin’s Writeathon is a platform to help students start the process of writing early and continue practicing effective writing.

Writeathon FAQs.

Q: What are the categories for Writeathon?

Writeathon consists of 4 levels

    • Level 1: Grades 1, 2, and 3
    • Level 2: Grades 4, 5
    • Level 3: Grades 6, 7, and 8
    • Level 4: Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12

Q: What should students bring?

Students should bring pencils, pens, and erasers to be able to write.

Q: What should I bring for onsite check-in?

Please bring a printed or mobile copy of the registration ticket and the photo / video consent form for onsite check-in.

Q: What is photo/video release consent form?

Our competitions are meant to promote academic excellence and recognize students for their talent and hard work. During our competitions, there will be pictures and videos taken which may be posted on our website. Students are requested to turn in a photo / video release consent form at the time of onsite check-in on the day of the competition.

Q: When will the topic for Writeathon be given?

The topic for Writeathon will be given after onsite check-in on the day of the contest.

Q: What is the schedule for Writeathon?

The schedule for Writethon includes the following:

1) Onsite check-in

2) Announcement of the topic prior to the contest - 15 minutes, during which students will have time to prepare the essay outline based on the topic.

3) Seating and explanation of rules – 15 minutes

4) Writeathon - 45 minutes

5) Grading of essays

6) Winners will be announced during the award ceremony

7) For Level 4, Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, the evaluation will be done offline and results will be announced via email. Winners will be presented with the 1, 2, 3 winner trophies during a separate presentation.

Q: How long will the exam/test be?

Overall exam duration will be 1 hour and 15 minutes; the initial 15 minutes will be for topic outlining, the next 15 minutes will be allocated for seating and explanation of rules, followed by 45 minutes of Writeathon.

Q: When should the students arrive?

The students are expected to be punctual and arrive on time for the onsite check-in.

Q: Can parents be present in the room when the students are taking the test?

Parents will not be allowed in the room during the Writethon. Parents are requested to pick up their children as soon as the exam is completed and attend the award ceremony.
