Event Details

About the Workshop: What if I told you the way you’re going to get unstuck is by learning to invite or court awe into your life? What if cultivating that muscle, one that opens your eyes and ears a little wider, is the answer to what you’re seeking? One series of studies found that awe made time feel more plentiful, which increased life satisfaction, willingness to donate time to charity, and preferences for experiences over material products.

We’re going to delve into six areas to take us out of that stalled place and into one of awe. They’re all action words – appreciate, create, feel, help, listen, love. It is my contention that working on these will open you, shift your energy, and motivate you to live more meaningfully.

What If I'm Not a Writer? This workshop is for you if you feel stuck or undecided about your next move in some area of your life, you’re wondering if there’s more, or if you’re caught up in a tedious routine. Participants need not be writers; writing is simply the main tool we will use. Writing prompts will flow into each other, with a mix of other exercises designed to push through stagnancy.

What You'll Need: A notebook and pen.
