 IMPORTANT NOTES:

Each workshop builds on the one before.  Each of the first, six classes will teach new writing skills and different concepts, toward the goal of finishing short but complete and polished stories.  The seventh and eighth classes will focus on creating unique, handmade books for the stories.

While sessions begin with a brief review, each class will cover different topics.  To stay current and finish on time, plan on attending each workshop.

Location, time and date of final celebration to be announced.

Participants should be at least eighteen years of age with an interest in writing stories from real life or make believe. Participants should have basic writing and reading skills (at least an eighth grade level).

 Materials & Equipment

Classes are casual and encouraging.  Although essential materials are provided, participants are welcome to bring favorite writing tools and supplies.

These workshops are offered at no cost with funding provided by:

Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh Program,
A partnership of The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Heinz Endowments
