The aim of this course is to support creative individuals through the process of applying for funding for their ideas, step by step. This course takes place over three workshops will take the participants through the process of writing an application step by step, by week three you will have completed an application to at least draft format.

Week 1 - Introduction to Funding, developing your idea into a project.
Week 2 - Communicating your idea and project clearly, ensuring you have all the information you require to complete an application.
Week 3 - Writing an application, in the final week of the course you will complete your funding application with support.
After each workshop participants will be given up to three actions that they need to complete before the next workshop, and a one-to-one 30-minute phone discussion with the course leader.
The course is suitable for those who may have submitted applications for funding with limited success, have never submitted an application or those who have been successful but looking to apply for more ambitious projects.
There are only ten places available to ensure focused sessions.
The course will be delivered by Jennifer McGlone.
Jennifer McGlone is a Creative Consultant who specialises in the support and development of creative individuals and organisations. With a background in Community Arts, she has worked in a variety of roles across the UK as a development officer, project manager, educator, booking agent, promoter, events and project manager, fundraiser, researcher, and mentor. For seven years she was a Development Officer at Scottish Arts Council/ Creative Scotland working on the £10 million Youth Music Initiative programme, CashBack for Creativity, Traditional Arts and contributing to organisation wide programmes.Since leaving in 2013, Jennifer has worked on a variety of freelance contracts while running two businesses, Glow Arts, and the Braw Wee Emporium.
