Description
Jonathan Reckford is currently the CEO of Habitat for Humanity International. He has spent much of his career in the for-profit sector before accepting his dream job at Habitat for Humanity. Deeply committed to helping the world’s poor, Reckford was named the most influential nonprofit leader in America in 2017 by The NonProfit Times.
Jonathan Reckford will be contributing to our Wrigley Lecture Series, speaking about how developing sustainable communities that are inclusive and equitable for all residents are dependent upon creating affordable housing opportunities. As more cities within the United States gentrify, it becomes imperative to create mixed-income housing that builds social ties and enable fire fighters, teachers, entry-level government workers and hospital service workers to remain close to the places they work rather than spending time and money getting to and from their jobs.
A light snack will be provided for the reception before the lecture, as well as a post-lecture dessert reception.
