Event description
VIRTUAL OFFERING: Don't miss this opportunity to hear Pete Wright speak about special education law and advocacy!

About this Event

During this 6-hour training workshop, Pete Wright will focus on four specific areas:

  • special education law, rights and responsibilities
  • tests and measurements to measure progress & regression
  • SMART IEPs
  • introduction to tactics & strategies for effective advocacy

Teachers will leave with a better understanding of special education law and testing, parents will leave empowered to advocate for appropriate educational services for their children, and all participants will leave with excellent resources for continued learning.

Wrightslaw programs are designed to meet the needs of parents, educators, health care providers, advocates and attorneys who represent children with disabilities regarding special education. The program is not disability specific.
