Join us for the Mathematics Colloquium on the afternoon.

Distinguished lectures by Michael Farber and Yuli Rudyak.

These talks will be webcast by the University of Minnesota as part of the Applied Algebraic Topology Research Network.

The mathematical public is cordially invited to attend. We will have two lectures for mathematics community.

  1. Michael Farber (University of London) - "Motion Planning on Aspherical Spaces" from 1:30 pm- 2:30 pm in Science Building- S247.
  2. Yuli Rudyak (University of Florida) - "Maps of Degree 1 and Lusternik-Schnirelmann Category" from 3:00 pm- 4:00 pm in Science Building- S247.

Join us for the Undergraduate Colloquium on the morning.

It will consist of two lectures aimed to undergraduate students and delivered by distinguished mathematicians.

The aim of this Colloquium is to show students the beauty and power of mathematical ideas.

Following are the two talks:

  1. John Oprea (Cleveland State University) - "Mathematics, Soap Films, and Biology" from 10:00 am- 11:00 am in Science Building- S247.
  2. Andres Angel (Universidad de Los Andes) - "Topological Robotics" from 11:30 am- 12:30 pm in Science Building- S247.

All students are welcome!!! Professor can also bring their class.
