Please join us for an exciting half-day event exploring urban transformation during times of uncertainty and disruption. During this interactive event you will engage with the 2021-2022 WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities finalists, previous Prize winners and other leading urban changemakers from around the globe.

The WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities seeks to inspire urban change-makers across the globe by elevating trailblazing initiatives, sharing impactful stories of sustainable urban transformation and building a community of urban changemakers. This cycle's five finalists are:

We invite you to join us in exploring these exemplary and diverse projects in deeper detail and to add your own rich experience to the roundtable. Through interactive, facilitated conversation, short presentations and panel discussions with leading urban practitioners, we’ll address how to create transformative urban change during turbulent times.

This unique learning event will demonstrate innovative and inclusive responses to uncertainty, disruption and crisis and showcase the enormous drive, commitment and creativity of cities and people in responding to an increasingly tumultuous world.

Part 1: Spotlighting Transformative Change

The five WRI Ross Center Prize for Cities finalists will present their work through flash photo talks followed by Q&A.

Part 2: Understanding Transformative Change

A set of provocations will kick-off an open roundtable discussion about the dynamics of transformative processes and empowering changemakers.

Part 3: Supporting Urban Changemakers and Expanding Their Capacity

How do we support changemakers and how do we work together as an ecosystem for transformative change?
