No woman or girl is turned away. Ask us about volunteer and sponsorship opportunities. We have gift cards available to cover registration. Women in the military, veterans, wife or significant other of a veteran participate for FREE.

Are you looking for a healthier you? Saturday, April 27, 2018, the Women on Wellness (WOW) conference will give you the health screenings, breakout sessions, information, tools, and a personal health plan to make it happen! Your registration includes health screenings, breakfast, lunch, all sessions, a personalized health plan, materials, and connections to local resources to support your plan. Stretch therapy and massage will be available throughout the day.

Libera, our community champion, in collaboration with The Center of Excellence in Women's Health (CoE) works with communities to develop community partnerships. These partnerships reach women of all social economic and ethnic groups and link them to the resources in their community through the Women on Wellness Program.

Women on Wellness is a community-driven, health initiative using behavior change techniques for a healthier lifestyle. It was created to reach women and girls where they live, to teach life skills, and to encourage and motivate individual change. WOW includes Retreats, Podcasts, PLAP and Women Love Your Heart Events.

Conferences use a behavior change guidebook, supported by breakout sessions designed to help participants develop their plan and connect to local resources WOW addresses six core areas:

  1. Health screenings
  2. Nutrition and healthy diet
  3. Movement of body
  4. Motivation for learning
  5. Behavioral Change
  6. Personal health plan development

The event is co-sponsored by Libera, the community champion, and the West Virginia Women's Commission.


Full Schedule:

  • 8:00am - 9:00am Registration, Health Screenings, and Breakfast; Discover your current health status in addition to having an energizing breakfast following health screening.

  • 9:15am - 10:20am Welcome/Setting the Tone:Begin to create balance between your body, mind and spirit. Learn how to maintain, move and nourish your body. How do our feelings, thoughts and beliefs affect us? Discuss Behavior change.

  • 10:20am - 12:10pm Morning Breakout Sessions: Choose from a “buffet “of opportunities, including educational, movement, yoga, mindfulness, cooking, etc.

  • 12:15pm - 1:15pm Lunch to Feed Your Soul: Keynote Speaker

  • 1:15pm - 1:25pm Healthy Lifestyle plan: Discuss developing your own healthy lifestyle plan

  • 1:30pm – 3:10pm Afternoon breakout sessions: Choose from a “buffet “of opportunities

  • 3:15pm – 3:30pm Shake Your Soul: Enjoy energizing, fun movement.

  • 3:30pm – 4:30pm Appreciation, Evaluation, and Door Prizes: Share your thoughts and feelings on your WOW experience, win prizes
