Dynamic Women of Des Moines

Tuesday, November 21

Guest Speaker

Angela Franklin
President & CEO, Des Moines University

The proportion of women attending college, graduate schools, and obtaining doctorate degrees has increased dramatically in recent years. Many are entering the workforce seeking and obtaining the highest leadership roles in education and business.

As a small town girl with big dreams, Angela Franklin was constantly plotting and planning her future. There were the obvious steps to advance her career, such as excelling in school and pursuing advanced degrees. However, the “not-so-obvious” roadblocks were ever present, causing her to navigate and create the “work-arounds”, and sometimes even change course direction to be able to move forward.

Join us in November as Angela will share the lessons she learned along the way and inspire us to press on, to endure the uncomfortable feelings of dealing with the unknown and accept the life we have been given to live.
