Topics: Risk assessment, care planning, wound identification, palliative care/unavoidable wounds and treatment

Speaker: Karen Zulkowski, MD

Speaker Bio: Dr. Zulkowski was an associate professor of nursing at Montana State University. She is a current board member of the World Council of Enterstomal Therapists, a former board member of the NPUAP, and chair of the Support Surface Standards initiative. She has served on the certification testing committee for American Board of Wound Management (AAWM), authored numerous journal articles about pressure ulcers and nutrition and spoken at numerous national and international conferences. Her current research is on nurse’s knowledge and its relation to incidence rates as part of the NJHA QI project.
