Description

Worthwich Wizarding Weekend is a 3 day magical retreat to Worthwich school of Witchcraft & Wizardry.

Worthwich Wizarding Weekend is an adults only (21+) all inclusive retreat. Worthwich school hosts separate events for younger witches & wizards to further their magical education.

1st year students will be sorted into their houses upon arrival to the school. Students will partcipate in a wand making class when they first arrive at Worthwich school. Your wand is yours to keep and will be used in magical classes throughout the weekend.

All students will participate in a core curriculum of courses including:
-potions
-charms
-defensive magic
-divinations
-astrology*
-herbology
-magical creatures
-history of magic
-flying lessons
-studies of non-magical beings & objects.

Each house will have daily practice in magical sports. Houses will compete against one another in evening tournaments.

Nightly screenings with delicous treats & brews!

Students will earn points for their house based on performance in magical classes. Rule breaking will be punishable by removal of house points and assignment of detention. At the end of the weekend the house with the most points will be awarded the house cup and will get to hang a new championship banner in their dorm!

Worthwich Wizarding Weekend is all inclusive. Your ticket includes food, drinks, lodging, and activities for all 3 days and 2 nights of Worthwich Wizarding Weekend.

Schedule of Activities:

Friday Oct 27th
1-3pm students arrive at school*
1-5pm wand making classes, pumpkin carving, magical shopping, school tours
5pm sorting ceremony
6pm dinner
7pm heads of house take students to dorms, unpack/settle in
8pm screening & campfire

*You must arrive no later than 3pm if you wish to make a wand, otherwise you will need to bring a wand from home to use during your classes

Saturday Oct 28th
8am breakfast
9am-1pm morning classes
1pm lunch
2pm-6pm afternoon classes
6pm magical sporting games
7pm dinner
8pm nighttime divinations
8:30pm screening & campfire

Sunday Oct 29th
8am breakfast
9am-1pm morning classes

7pm closing dinner & announcement of house cup winner
8pm screening & campfire
10:30pm students pack up and head home*

Food:
All food, snacks, and drinks are provided for you during the weekend. We will be serving a total of 7 meals including dinner on Friday Oct 27, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday & Sunday Oct 28-29. Students will be packing up and leaving Sunday night. Along with meal service snacks and beverages will always be available in the dining hall. At our nightly screenings we will provide delicous treats and a special adult brew of the wizard's favorite frothy beverage. Students are also welcome to BYO-potions other adult beverages to enjoy during the screenings or around the campfire. Please drink responsibly and ensure you are able to attend your morning magical classes.

Please contact the headmaster here if you have special dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, allergies, etc) to allow us to make arrangements in advance. As soon as you have purchased your ticket please send us a message with these requests.

Lodging:
Parrie Haynes Ranch is located 1 hour from Austin, 2.5 hours from San Antonio or Dallas/Fort Worth, and 3.5 hours from Houston. There is a 2 mile dirt road to enter the school grounds.

Students will be staying in co-ed dormitory style cabins. Each of the four houses will have its own cabin. Each cabin has private restrooms and showers. Restrooms for each cabin are open and will be co-ed, they are equipped with several private restroom stalls and showers with private changing areas. Families/groups can be sorted into the same house so they can stay together.

Cabins have twin bunk beds and are equipped with electricity/outlets, and are heated and cooled.

Each attendee will need to provide their own sheets, blankets, pillow, and towels. Trunks recommended! Students may bring with them if they choose a toad or an owl, which must have its own housing and food. No other pets are allowed at Worthwich Wizarding Weekend unless they are service animals with papers.
