Event description

Description

On October 23rd, you don't have to travel to Singapore or Taipei to experience the food, fun and community of an Asian night market. We'll be closing the street and opening our doors as the Internet Archive goes global! We invite you to join us for World Night Market: the Internet Archive's Annual Bash, Wednesday, October 23rd from 5-10 PM at our headquarters in San Francisco. This party is your passport to explore the Internet Archive’s global offerings, from world news to sacred palm leaf manuscripts. Inspired by the night markets of Asia, we’ll be throwing a block party for friends, partners and our community, offering up a vibrant mix of food trucks, hands-on demo stations, Lion Dancers, music and dancing.

Then, from 7-8:30 PM, head up to the Great Room for presentations to unveil our latest tools and biggest partnerships from around the world. We've got a big announcement, and can't wait to let you in on the news.

From 8:30 PM on, head to our patio for a great DJ and dancing, dessert and more Virtual Reality games.
