Changing Your Perspective - The Ocular Effect

If you change where you stand you will change what you see. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at will change. One of the important skills in photography, or any art - including the art of life - is understanding two very important things.

1) Where you stand to take a photo - if you don't like what you're looking at then move and it will look different. This could be as easy as walking around a tree until the sunlight is coming just right through the branches. It is also a metaphor for taking action.

2) True images are composed in your mind before you take the shot. This could be as easy as knowing you want to crop out the overhead electrical wires but keep the beautiful shadows that float across the front. It is also a metaphor of visualizing the next steps in any area of your life as a catalyst for change.

Join photographer Doc Jon, who has also been a successful international business owner/physican and motivational speaker. Doc also does wildlife rescue and works with the groups Sea Shepherd (The group on TVs "Whale Wars ) and Birds in Helping Hands bird rescue. Speaker: Doc Jon

Regardless of what you do or you we do it for, there’s something everyone wants that is more valuable than money.

With enough attention you can build a business. You can help people. You can do what you love. And you can create a community.

With enough attention you can change the world.

But what if the price for attention had less to do with your qualifications and more to do with a “feeling” that you evoke? In other words, what if the only thing keeping you from living out that big dream you have is the way your personal brand makes others people feel about you?

Join branding and digital marketing expert Marc Ensign as he shows you the secret behind building a personal brand that your audience will fall in love with. Regardless of your industry.

In this session, you will learn:

How to define your brand beyond colors, shapes and fonts

Changing the Way the World Gets Divorced

Divorce is not a subject that most people want to talk about. However, with 50 percent of first marriages ending in divorce, it is a sad fact of life. Not only does divorce have a hugely negative impact on the couple and any children involved, but it also affects extended family and friends as well as the workplace.

Author and award-winning family law attorney, Joryn Jenkins, used to be one of those trial attorneys who ardently fought for clients, excited to win battles, and eventually, the war. But she came to realize that there is a huge negative impact on families who go through a trial divorce.

As a result, Joryn became a national advocate for a new way of approaching divorce--collaborative divorce. In this presentation, Joryn will present how collaborative divorce works as well as 6 other courtless divorce options. This is vital information for individuals who find themselves in the position of “first responder” for people going through a divorce. First responders include Human Resource staff, ministers, business and real estate attorneys, bartenders, and beauticians. Speaker: Joryn Jenkins, Esq.

Telling the Story of Your Business

In the world of marketing, things have gotten more challenging. With the increased number of communication outlets, it can be difficult to know where to start. One thing is sure—no matter what outlet, telling your story is a critical aspect of marketing. In spite of this, many small businesses are hard-pressed to articulate exactly what their story is. The story of a business is not just its history. The story of a business is really the story of its target audience. What are the needs of your public? How does your business fill those needs? Holly and Brendan Haggerty founded Haggerty & Haggerty Digital Services to help small businesses navigate their way strategically through the digital marketing universe. One of the fundamental steps in this process is articulating your company's story. Presenters: Holly Haggerty and Brendan Haggerty

In this workshop, attendees will:

- Get examples of excellent stories of businesses, both large and small,

- Learn the process and key ingredients for articulating their own story,

- Walk away with the first draft of their company’s story that can be used in marketing.

1 small Twist! - what a balloon artist can teach you about passion, purpose, and fulfillment.

The idea of change makes many people nervous, to a point where we are taught early on to establish a comfort zone and never stray from it. Despite that, many people feel a sense of stagnation at some point, leaving a sense of illusion towards what they value. The concept of change is foreign and frightening to many, leaving us to wonder how to go about finding the things in life that will help us feel truly fulfilled.

“One Small Twist” shows the power of words and subtle actions work against us, but more importantly, how to find a well-positioned attitude shift to embrace the very things that are feared, creating a new path of thoughts, words, actions, and experiences to achieving whatever is desired.

This presentation focuses on how slight adjustments, with time, result in huge desired changes. Speaker: Jimmy Leo

Creativity in Business: Fueled by Fundamentals

I’ve noticed that people become unhappy in their work when their option to be creative is taken away. Entrepreneurs become entrepreneurs because they want to have control over their ability to be creative. Entrepreneurs become frustrated when they have to spend so much time on organizational work that they don’t have time to do the fun creative work. (E-Myth Revisited) So, what’s the solution? Yes, organization! A focus on the fundamentals frees the entrepreneur from administivia by putting that part of the process on automatic. The problem is…if you ask 20 entrepreneurs to list basic business fundamentals, you will get 40 different answers. This session will present three business fundamentals based on the findings in a study of entrepreneurs who have built companies from 0 to $100 million in annual revenue. Jump into this conversation and challenge the findings. Let’s be creative! Presented by Russ Barnes
