WORLD Contingent at the Women's March- Oakland
Event Information
Description
WORLD is organizing a contingent of women living with HIV, families and loved ones of those living with HIV and those who work with the community to march together at the local Women's March in Oakland. As the sister march to the march happening in Washngton DC, we wanted to make sure that the voices of women living with HIV in Oakland are heard on this day of herstory.
We will be meeting a the corner of Jackson adn 10th street at 9:45AM so that we can walk over to the park together. Please feel free to make signs and make up chants that we can use. Please wear your WORLD shirt, if you have one, or another shirt from your agency or with the iconic red ribbon. If you don't feel comfortable with that, please feel free to wear just a plain white shirt.
After this march, WORLD plans to continue this movement through our Holding Our Ground campaign, which will work to organize and mobilize women living with HIV and their loved ones on women's health and Reproductive Justice issues. Together, we will make sure that no women is left behind!
